To sense – feel, touch, breathe, taste and smell… That is Live Lofoten.
Live Lofoten presents
To sense – feel, touch, breathe, taste and smell. That is what Live Lofoten represents and stands for. Our guests are not only visiting – they live Lofoten… Live Lofoten is a company young-at-heart, established in June 2017 by Ronny Østrem. Live Lofoten includes not only accommodation, but also different tours, excursions, restaurants, transfers and much more. Ronny has been working in the service and tourism industry since he was a little boy. This little boy had a dream to put Northern Norway on the map, which he did.
His greatest project is Kirkenes Snowhotel. Ronny was not only owning the company, but also taking a role as Managing Director to develop Kirkenes Snowhotel to top 10 most visited destinations in the world.
Live Lofoten invites you to Stamsund – a stunning small town in the heart of Lofoten, first mentioned in 1610, as a fisherman’s village. Also the location is perfect for Hurtigruten travellers, since Hurtigruten pier is only few minutes away from Restaurant house and Live Lofoten hotel. Stamsund has two famous art galleries: One by Ulf M, known as the Lofoten painter, and one by Minnesota born Scott Thoe
Every morning Live Lofoten Restaurant invites guests for our continental breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also served here, either on the terrace or inside by the warm and cozy fireplace. We are proud of offering a wide array of local foods. Too keep warm in the evenings, experience the Live Lofoten Bistro-Pub.
Due to the different extreme seasons of this region, from Northern Lights in the autumn/winter season to the Midnight Sun in the summer, we also offer different activities accordingly. Experience all from SUP (Stand Up Paddling), beautiful mountains hikes or the stunning midnight sun to the fresh ocean breeze with RIB’s (Rigid Inflatable Boat) or get a catch of a lifetime on a traditional fisherman’s boat. Try something different with Crab Safari on RIB’s or visit a Norwegian Salmon farm. A must during the winter is the Northern Lights safari, when the sky suddenly starts to dance.
